Founded and conducted by Matthew Berry ARAM, Commotio held it's inaugural performance in August 1999 and continues to promote contemporary choral repertoire, particularly neglected and rarely-performed works. The choir has recorded both on the Herald and more recently Naxos labels to critical acclaim. In recent years a small group of singers from the main choir, Commotissimo, has begun performing in groups of 6-8 singers and is available for private functions.
