Commotio is enthusiastic about what it does. The singers, the conductor, composers associated with the choir, and the choir’s many other supporters all work hard to make choral experiences that delight and interest listeners and performers alike.
But enthusiasm is, sadly, not enough. Commotio makes CDs, and commissions music from talented composers, which costs money. Members of Commotio dig deep into their own pockets, but more is needed.
Which is why we are asking for your help:
Are you involved with an organisation which could sponsor Commotio?
For a payment of £500, a sponsoring organisation would:
- receive ten well-placed seats for each concert during the following year
- have an advertising display in each concert programme
- be invited to pre-concert talks or post-concert buffet receptions, when these occur
Would you consider becoming a Commotio Friend?
For a payment of £50, you would:
- be given advance notice of concerts
- have a well-placed reserved seat when you buy a concert ticket during the following year
- be invited to pre-concert talks or post-concert buffet receptions, when these occur
Are you involved with the media?
Could you bring Commotio to the attention of concert-goers?
Perhaps an article about the choir and its music, or a broadcast of music from our CDs?
Our conductor is keen to talk to you!
Do you have experience with fund-raising?
Do you know your way around the Arts Council, the grant-making foundations, and other potential sources of funding?
Could you spare some time to help us?
Could you give us some money right now?
